Accessable Computing and the Pi

Fri Feb 08, 2013 10:36 pm

Hi All,

I thought you might be interested to know that Jonathan Nadeau (a blind hacker) is running a fund raising campaign to, among other things, make the Raspberry PI accessible. He already has a version of GNU/Linux created that a blind user can install without any help and now want's to work on a ARM port.

The campaign is at http://www.indiegogo.com/sonar and knowing Jonathan, he will make this happen with or without our help but any help spreading the word would be appreciated.

http://www.sonar-project.org/ - Home of the GNU/Linux distribution.
http://www.northeastlinuxfest.org/ - A fest that Jonathan organizes in his spare time

Ken.
