Hello from Dealextreme

Sat Dec 29, 2012 7:44 am

Hello everyone,

I work at Dealextreme and I know that a lot of you get Pi gear and parts from us. Just wondering if I can offer any assistance regarding getting things from us.

Please be aware that I don't have particular expertise on all peripherals , but am happy to help where I can.

Hope to support this community.

Hi there,

I'm a big fan of dx.

What I would like to know is if any of the USB digital TV tuners you guys sell work nicely with the Pi.

I'm looking at using my XBian install into a PVR, but can't easily tell which tuner dongles would work with the Pi or not.

Hi, you might try this one:

it is the most popular one we have, unfortunately I don't have specific info regarding attaching it to the Pi.

Hey DX

I'm after a Webcam with IR LEDs so that I can use it in the dark. Do you have any ?
I've looked through hundreds and can't seem to find one.

Thanks

I bought a couple of those, hoping to use them with ZoneMinder on the RPi.
No luck.
- USB 1.1
- Max resolution: CIF (352 × 288).
- No still images with V4L, only MJPEG streaming - which crashes RPi's USB driver badly at resolutions larger than QCIF (176 × 144).
- Image quality is VERY BAD. There are two IR filters, both of them from unpolished glass, one of them is glued on top of the sensor and cannot be easily removed - thus everything looks blurry even at the focal point.

Thanks for the suggestions ! I am sending requests to our product manger. We are also putting together a forum thread for Arduino that should include Raspberry Pi stuff.

In fact, we are looking for a forum moderator with excellent Arduino / Ras Pi knowledge....anyone looking for a part time job??

PM me for details. sorry about the late replies....2 weeks of Chinese New Year....

Hi,
I wonder if your wireless keyboards with touchpad will work with RPi correctly.

Thanks
