It's just a connector - the Pi doesn't depend on the bits of plastic or metal to work.
So it depends on how good your soldering skills are.

Yeah, of course. I have one project (Raspberry Pi 4 with advanced water colling) only for fun.

Water Block is a little bit to big (30x30mm) and I have to remove display port.

Just finished now remove display port.
And now I have to figure out how to attach the waterblock

Free after Burngate...
It's just a PCB - the Pi doesn't depend on the bits of plastic or metal to work.
So it depends on how good your varnishing skills are.
p.s. what do you think that (green) layer is on top of a PCB, answer its varnish....

Sorry, for the daft post. I had posted something but realized after I was off base and wrong. Tried to delete the post but couldn't, and ended up editing it to what was posted.

In the old days the color of the circuit boards was the color of the substrate it was made out of. The color of what was under the copper layer. I've been out of the loop for a long time now. After i posted I went and had a look at my Pi 3B+ and saw that it was top coated after the fact and realized I had got it wrong.

So the question becomes why green, red would make more sense and inline with the branding...
