At last!
Just replaced the keyboard and mouse on this pc.
The keyboard would "die" after a while, the mouse had Parkinsons and jittered all over the screen.
Its just bliss not to have an auto-moving mouse!

The joy of having my 'office' back after 3 years of putting stuff in it.
The entertainment I will have next week dressing up like a gent of the 1920's with some of my partners 'interesting' friends and going to a nice dinner. (Can you get Brill, Breel, the stuff that makes you hair go crusty, cream).

Why are we so miserable?
You Suck: the venting thread has 435 posts in 12 weeks - about 5 a day
This one: 27 in 15 days - less than 2 a day.
But life is Good!
Nothing has gone too wrong today - lets celebrate! (apart from running out of milk)
(but then - if I've no milk I can't spill it!)
All together now!

I don't think I can ever bring myself to THINK w00t!, but given the production schedule and the release of a datasheet, then I'm a pretty happy bunny.

It is possible to find a good angle to think about any situation. Any event that happens can be seen in a good light. The Always look on the bright side attitude.
If someone is chasing you around the garden with an axe you can say that "they want to be closer to you", that is an extreme example though.
My good events for yesterday is that I had a meeting with someone who is going to help me get a career development loan so I can go on the teaching course I want to do.
And I found a pack of 6 tomato ketchup flavour crisps in morrisons on the damaged goods shelf for 19p.

That too, provided I get Cadbury eggs rather than Nestle/Mars eggs that taste like cooking "chocolate".

Re: The w00t! life is good thread
Congratulations, Richard!
My own good news for the day pales into utter insignificance in comparison, but I'm still pretty chuffed: thanks to a murderously strong course of antibiotics, my middle ear infection is gone and I can now hear out of my left ear for the first time in over a month. It is amazing. Everything is VERY LOUD.

Re: The w00t! life is good thread
I love how good of a community we have here!
Congrats Richard
Thats good news Liz! I sometimes have issues with my ears and I know how annoying it can be, especially for a singer like myself.
Life is good because half term is only about a week away and it finishes on the 28th which hopefully gives me time to get a Pi and play with it. I'm happy that I've been able to contribute to the community but even happier that it's all been so well recieved.
Cheers all,
Liam.

30 minutes wearing headphones playing Biffy Clyro's the Captain should fix that problem.

Yes but only with Fish. (also like Jethro Tull, Belle and Sebastian, Jacques Louissier Trio, Biffy Clyro, Rabbit!.... and anything that annoys the neighbours or wife)
Everytime someone I know has a Baby Girl I always push for the name Kayleigh but so far no takers

Well, I'm alive, I'm healthy, I have a job, I have a family.
So 'w00t', I guess.

Great Savings for Pistol Packing Parents!
LA Times article on my Android today referred to this YouTube post where fed up parent deals with daughters bratty FB post by putting 9 rounds of .45 ACP through her laptop.
Price/round for .45 ACP is $1.25, bringing the price of discipline to a hefty $11.25.
A Raspberry Pi can be rendered inert with only one .22 LR round for only a nickel !!!

i believe Lars used to be in an LA gang so i wasn't going to argue .
