There are a few groups that share out work ‘3D hubs’ are one but normally expensive for one off pieces.

Not next door but you could try https://www.meetup.com/Tulsa-Open-Sourc ... re-Meetup/ - they may know someone in Kansas City or closer to you...

I really miss the printed UK Yellow Pages even though it would be so impractical now... the web site is yuck.

Apologies - some folk locally (UK) get worked up travelling from Grimsby to Scunthorpe (35 miles)

I know the area well - my in-laws live a bit further north in Liberty, MO.

If you have an unlimited budget, Shapeways is the place to go. Failing that, I use Slant 3D in Idaho for work. They're pretty cheap for the work they do. Another option - and this is what most people do - is to cut large designs into pieces (electronically), print them, then glue them together.

Sorry I don't have any better leads in state for you. Nate Rogers, designer of one of the first affordable 3D printers, is in Springfield and likely knows who can print what in MO. You might be able to reach him through the Reach 3D Printers website, or through his work at Eternal Tattoo.

Really big printers are expensive. A friend printed a full-sized moose head on a 3D Platform printer. You don't want to know how much they cost …
