The Ultimate Cat Thread

Fri Nov 23, 2012 7:48 pm

Well I was thinking, What is the Raspberry Pi Forum missing?
What is important on the interwebz for us?

And after the picture at the bottom I found, Cats!

So this thread is simple, post pictures of your cat!

Now I present you with my recently taken picture of my cat Jess,
He is currently 12 years old and loves eating food.

Now I hope this thread is allowed, and I hope this helps feed your cat addiction on the interwebz.

Ok, I've got plenty-a-pets at home...

First there's Ingrid - the kitten who turned mom way too early...
Image

And then her unplanned bunch (Pip, Larsson (sadly no longer around), Louis and Sofie)
Image

A typical pose with Pip.

Then there are my two rather famous English Springer Spaniels (VERY good hunting dogs) Ellen and Nova. (Named from Port Ellen and Ardbeg Supernova)
Image

Here is a few of all the birds I have... (Runner ducks, Muscovy Ducs, Geese (not in picture) and Brahma hens)
Image

I have around 70-ish something birds and they provide me with mountains of fresh eggs!

I'm not sure but I think I've had around 30+ cats by now...

I try to grow most of my own veg and I'm almost self sufficient with meat and I live very well on my little farm!

We had up to 48 cats (plus dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, hermit crabs, lizards, sisters, ... ) at any one time when i was growing up as my mother was chairwoman of the local cat protection league so we often had waifs and strays boarding with us for a few weeks. My younger sister took over her position when my mother died and as of last week had 35 dossing with her in her boffy (the females in my family are all mad cat ladies :) )

My hat off to all who help rescue animals!
I've also taken care of quite a few of stray cats who's been alone and weak and they always show their affection for the rest of their life - sadly they tend to pass away before reaching 10 years old due to trauma in early life...

My oldest cat who died only last year reached 24 years of age and that's not bad!

Thank goodness. The one thing this site lacks is decent collection of cat photos.

I used to have a cat which I adored but sadly she passed away and I then moved to a 3rd floor flat so it does not seem kind to get another.

Cat in a flat does however rhyme with 'The Cat in the Hat' which I recntly got as an audio book read by Adrian Edmonson.

Daisy is BEAUTIFUL. I grew up with a Burmese called Caesar; he was a brilliant cat. He died nearly 20 years ago, and I still miss him.

The Grass may be greener on the other side of the fence, but it still has to be mowed.
