Re: Lord of the Pi

The "How many do you invision purchasing?" thread reminded me of this little rhyme that is in desperate need of being brought up-to-date.

Nine megs for the secretaries fair,
Seven megs for the hackers scarce,
Five megs for the grads in smoky lairs,
Three megs for system source;

One disk to rule them all,
One disk to bind them,
One disk to hold the files
And in the darkness grind 'em.

That version appeared in the fortune cookies in SunOS 4. The original version of course is from Lord of The Rings:

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

I've run out of inspiration, maybe someone would like to offer a rewrite in honour of the Raspberry Pi?

Three Rings for the Teachers, to learn quickly,
Seven for the Higher Students, attempting to rule,
Nine for the 1st Years doomed to fail (as first),
One for the Me, in my gadget filled domain,
In the Land of IT Support where the HobNobs are hidden.
One Pi to rule them all, One Pi to configure them,
One Pi to Fix them all and restore them to glory,
In the Land of IT Support where the HobNobs are hidden.

(Couldn't resist )
