Waveshare 7" screen hacking for non RPI projects.

Sat Jul 14, 2018 10:01 am

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post as I am lost for ideas on who to ask.
I have a series C rev2.1 7" capacitive screen from Waveshare.
I have all the RPI's set up to use it properly, however, If I use it as an HDMI screen for my camera, the image is offset to the right! (just enough left to see the centre point of my cameras display) I have worked out that there is an STM32F103C8T6 and a TI TFP401APZP doing all the heavy lifting work but I can't work out which need to be modified to correct the issue.

Noobie Question 1) is there any way to read the program on the STM32F103C8T6?
Noobie Question 2) is there something I can patch into the TFP401APZP to add additional controls to alter the issue.
Question 3) Has anyone got a Model D or E with the controls who can provide a highres scan of the pcb and components?
Back in the old days, we were smarter then the technology.
Nowadays technology makes us look like villages fools in front of the children!
