Can you recommend me some educational computer games for kids?

I know that they're now for teaching really often but I really don't know which ones should I choose. I'm looking for nice art ones and for learning to read. Thanks!

Tuxpaint, just for fun. Tuxmath for...math. MinecraftPi for both fun and (by using the Python interface) learning to program. Scratch to learn to program, including having kids write their own games. Beyond that...look at the resources on this site by the RPF and read the MagPi.

Also try knight's escape room. But it's not a PC game. It will teach you kids to work in team and pay attention to details. Also it's a great way to develop logic skills. My nephew love escape games

My little sister is right now playing a super adorable puzzle/adventure game called Machinarium, I think it's from some independent game studio (maybe dutch? not sure), it's a really clever game actually, can definitely recommend
