Spoken to Eben etc, the idea is liked. It will be a moderators/Pi Staff only posting forum, for announcing smaller stuff. I'll see how quickly it can be added.

It affects Linux, OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeBSD and Solaris, on i386 and
amd64.
Therefore not the Pi.
