ThePiHut Pi Zero limited supply. Or is it?

Tue Mar 14, 2017 11:34 am

Isnt it a bit greedy for pihut to work this way:
In http://www.thepihut.com theres a clear statement in the description of the new pi zero w:
"Please Note - Due to high demand and low stock levels, this product is strictly one per customer. Orders for more than one unit will result in order cancellation"
If i buy the pi + official case it costs me 15,60£ + postage

But in the ebay they sell this kit of pi zero w + official case without ordering amount limitation
This set costs 22£ + postage. Heres a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raspberry-Pi-Ze ... Sw3v5YtT0Q -see seller thepihut with logos and stuff.

So i think this is greedy and in no way fair. Its like pihut is telling us "if you got the money, we got the goods, but if you just want to pay the same price everyone else is paying, you can only order one unit"

That does seem to go against the rules applied to the official re-sellers by RPT.

It's fair game for a third party to sell as many Pi Zeros as they can get their hand on but another thing for an official re-seller...

Reported this to other moderators, its the best I can do.
I agree that this seems to go against the philosophy of the RPF.

According to people in the know:
If people try to buy more than one, Jamie refunds them and sends one only.
So the one per person rule is still adhered to.

I think so too. Page in ebay says the seller is:the_pi_hut, so i assumed its the same as www.thepihut.com or then its someone pretending to be them. Anyway, i found it a bit lame.

This ebay account belongs to the ThePiHut, when you scroll down the page it shows "Mann Enterprises Ltd" as the company name.
