Take a new poster who's already upset about the way the forum has responded to his post:
lozoot wrote: Besides there are already a thousand post on this site that say what you guys said. There are only two outlining my experience, and now it's ruined because you have to scroll through, what I deem off topic.

OT: I see why there are so many one time posters here now.
Let them change their minds a bit and apologise for their mistakes made in an effort to share their new knowledge with others.
lozoot wrote: After rechecking the forum i posted in, and after reading my title over because of what doug said about it, i have to agree. I apologize for my attitude. I have been awake alot during the past few days trying to fix this and taking care of kids.

I really am sorry i was upset but i really thought i was helping people, not asking for help.
Then give them a good Grump:
OldGrump wrote:The TITLE is inaccurate as you did not break your SD Card, but had a messed up file system ..
Bad OldGrump, the OP had already accepted that he had a bad title and apologised for his earlier responses, this last comment is a kick in his teeth. Completely unnecessary and I've reported the post as such. Even if I had been thinking since the very first post that it isn't possible to fix a permanently broken SD card (the clue being the definition of the word "Permanent").

I gave up on that thread about halfway through the first post, because it was a bit hard to parse and the title showed a lack of clear thinking.

But the "Report this post" mechanism is for reporting posts where people are being genuinely horrible (e.g. hurling insults or threats, spamming or scamming), not because it's "unnecessary". That's a waste of the moderators' finite time and attention. The post you reported wasn't horrible, it was more likely a case of not reading the entire thread before posting. That's a general problem around here - nearly the same answer posted by three or four different people because they didn't read everything first. Do you report every one of those too?

Forum Incompetency Theorem:

When a question is asked on a public forum, the supplied answers will split as follows
  • 10% will report having the same problem but offer no help.
  • 10% will report having an entirely different problem.
  • 20% will answer a different question.
  • 15% will answer incorrectly.
  • 5% will correct the questioner's spelling, grammar or etiquette.
  • 10% will respond to another answer's off-topic comments.
  • 15% will give information that helps.
  • 10% will give a correct answer that is incomplete or incomprehensible.
  • 5% will provide a full and correct answer.
These answers will be posted in the most unhelpful order; a thread length of at least 20 replies is required before a full and correct answer is received.

About half your words are spelled... well, not the way we spell them around here, but I had that exact thing happen the other day when I was driving home. Oh, and you're right about the blue one.

Q: How many surrealists does it take to change a light bulb?

A: 7: 4 to hold the giraffe and 3 to fill the bathtub with brightly colored machine tools.

But you didn't send your prediction to a neutral third party with a time stamp previous to his eminently predictable retort, so as arbitrator of snarky, I'm left to rule against you, although you do have my support in spirit.

Wow, maybe title change again?
"The nearly zero useful information post."
10 pages of ramblings!!!!
I guess this is useful as it allows old and young farts to blow off steam.

Maybe someone can post a link to a venting forum website.
Links for Men's sheds?
On line etiquette training?

As well as Sarcasm smilie we need a "this is grumpy persons opinion, only take offense if you are looking for a fight" smilie.

There are at least two good replies in here which made me smile so it was worth it

You're missing the first rule of being grumpy, we don't need txt speek, emoticons, emoji or other junk that makes plain text less than a simple and cutting insult to the original poster. We don't need no stinking badges either.

That photo was taken in a hotel room in San Jose, CA, USA because I was totally bored with American TV, I had a camera (with self timer) and too much time on my hands.

USA because I was totally bored with American TV
Reality TV and shopping channels :o
It's spread downunder to OZ, which is why I waste so much time here ;)

Blabla is getting into it now, wonder if any parent is peering over his shoulder?

I've noticed that when I've been in Butler, Perth, WA (where my daughter and soon to be born Aussie grandson live). We've just booked another two weeks in November (including one day in HK) to see the grandson.

A grumpy coworker of mine used to say, "If I'd wanted your website to make noise, I would have licked my finger and rubbed it across the screen."

He also was fond of saying, "You know, most of us in this industry could use a little work on our user interfaces."

All the cool kids cut the cord years ago, and only stream. Hulu and Netflix cost a ton less than cable, too.

Shh, my cool kid does not know about Netflix or Hulu yet.
What's cable?
We got fiber a year and a bit ago, probably about when I started rabbiting on in the posts here

Analog TV was better than Digitial TV, only had 4 channels but is was 4 good channels.
Now we have er, not actually sure, 20-30 :?:
Have to chase the good shows around the ch/clock/weekday as they move them to weird hours.
'If I'd wanted your website to make noise, I would have licked my finger and rubbed it across the screen."
Remember when all websites had to have flash?
Now bandwidth is filled with ads and loud video ads.
Wow, just had Bladerunner images flash into mind, how do we kill them before they get that bad?
Sounds like the perfect opportunity to pick up a Pi with a red PCB. *Are* there red PCB Pi3Bs?
Probably by then they will have :D

Would it be sexist/emo to say we need pink, purple and black PCBs?
My kid wants a green Lego case, why not pink unicorn ones too?
There is pink and purple Legos, they should make the case too.
Black and others but not green, pink, purple or orange ;)
http://au.element14.com/multicomp/cbpib ... dp/2524080

hmm, what else can I ramble about?
The wines from Margaret River are very good. Actually don't think I have ever had a bad one.
Never toured the wineries there but from touring other areas, there should be ones that never leave because they are too good, ask the locals, try types you have never heard of if you want a new addiction

That reminds me, have to google Lego bot making for the Zero W.
Kid won't notice, too busy with YouTube. Hey I can pinch his Meccano wheels too?
Lego ZeroW combat bots, pieces flying everywhere
Wonder if I can make a Lego bot that picks up Lego pieces?
Oh, those Silicone wrist bands look like they will make good small bot tank tracks.

Is this the new in colour?

Well, heres a thing.
its go to the point where a snarky answer might just be helpful... So, go on you snarks, fill yer boots.
NB:
google = no help,
man pages = no help,
havent a clue who wrote the system (RPiF, Debian, .... list of unknown entities)
see viewtopic.php?f=45&t=178361
See, a snarky "dont ask here, ask xyz forum" would actually help
