@JamesH - With the way my head is feeling from this Flu, it was misspelling and laziness. And you are right, it does carry meaning in both usages. (Boy, that is a Flame on some members of the forum.) I remember writing that line, and thinking it sounded right and looked wrong. One of the Joys of being trained as a Phonic Reader and Speller, my spelling sucks! I am one more example of a quality US Gov't education on a different military base every year of growing up.
My spelling IS a reason why I'm putting a plan together for a series of "free to the user" tools; a really good dictionary, spelling tutor, ESL trainer, and quote directory. Add to that a series of testing tools to be ready for the US college entrance exams, GED and military tests. Also Fiscal education and Productive / GTD ( Get Things Done ) tools. Of course, I'll add to the Programmers-in-Training materials. Why else did I keep decades of Byte, KiloBaud and Interface Age all these years.
I personally view the R-Pi as an Educational Tool for everyone, not just for future programmers. This mental thread belongs and needs expansion elsewhere, not in this current series of thoughts about why the forum is quiet. Maybe when there is a higher ratio of teachers/trainers vs hackers/geeks I'll raise this as a thread.
