Here's a 3-port usb hub and ps2 converter cheap:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170682425526
To bad it's non-powered, but I took one apart and it looks pretty easy to hack. The hub and ps2 converter are separate boards. They must be making a profit at $3.18 each shipped, so they may be willing to add the power jack for a large order. (Hint on something for the r=pi store to carry.)

[Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with this vender other than being a customer.]

What about this one:

That's just a non-powered hub, it doesn't have the ps2 keyboard/mouse connections Iliked on the other one.

If all you're looking for is to add some ports to the pi without needing to drive a high draw unit like a hard drive, you should be just fine using it (which is to say, if all you need to do is hook up a keyboard, mouse, or periphal with it's own power supply and assuming you didn't need a ps/2 adapter go for it)

Planning to use the Raspberry Pi as a media player and games console emulation,so i guess all i would want too hook up is keyboard/mouse/joystick or gamepad if possible.
