Ciseco Wireless Inventors Kit - OS image replacement

Mon Aug 29, 2016 8:42 pm

Hello

I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong thread I don't normally use forums.

My question is has anyone got a img file of the OS that comes with the Ciseco wireless inventors kit as mine has managed to corrupt itself probably through something I have done. I have gone to Ciseco/Wireless things but they no longer have it.

Thanks in advance for any help

https://www.wirelessthings.net/contact easiest option may be to pick up the phone and call them.

They've broken all the links with a website revamp.

They are closing up shop and selling off the stock in a fire sale. Check the front page.

Why would anybody want it?

Just delete it. Save some space.

Hi

I was a keen user of this companies products and I now find they have gone....really bad for me as I've written a load of code around their products and messages, but I also think bad for the industry as these guys had a very nice product set that helped iot get into the hands of amateurs like me.....anyway.....my questions....

Are there any stashes of xrf and temp senders anywhere for sale?
Are any other companies looking to pick up the rights to these products and sell them?
Is there any nice alternatives out there for wireless temp readings into a pi?

I have applied to join the google group but not sure if it's active.

Thanks

G

I keep hoping the same myself, it's a huge shame these things can't be purchased any more. I think they could have done more with the XRF & SRF modules, I hope the designs and source code for the firmwares surfaces sometime.

I did find this which is very useful:

Privateeyepi.com still has some Ciseco parts for sale. Give them a shout.

many thanks,
