Salvaging Sky box for to use with Pi

Hi Guys,

I about to rip out everything from an old Sky box to use the box to host my pi, hdd and other bits and pieces. I was just curious if anyone has any luck salvaging the sky parts to be used with the PI. In particular, the DvB part (for satelite tv)

Sky have offered several models of Set Top Boxes, but unlikely you can salvage anything apart from the Hard Drive if it has one !!!

The 3 legged IR receiver can probably be put to use if you ever want that facility on the RPi. (It will work with most remotes, not just the Sky one.)
