I have come across some alternative phrases for well know expressions.
I assume the following are well know:
"The excrement hit the rotational air displacer"
and
"You're navigating a smelly stream without propulsion device"
Anybody has more examples?

Please enlighten me.
Re: Alternative phrases
"I could be chasing an untamed ornithoid without cause."
I believe that one is meant to be something like "The toast always falls butter-side down".Gert van Loo wrote:My knowledge of English phrases is not good enough to translate that one.

I'm looking the cat out of the tree
That hits side nor shore
You harvest what you sow
The clock doesn't tick the same anywhere like it does at home
Butter with the fish
The monkey comes out of the sleeve
Throwing away the child with the bathing water
Holding a hand above someone's head
