Seems like the SBC wars are producing some remarkable equipment
at affordable prices. The RPI 2 B is still my favorite.

£45 was for early birds, only the £53+ rewards are still available.pxgator wrote:Seems like the SBC wars are producing some remarkable equipment

LattePanda is featured with quad-core 1.8Ghz, 2/4G RAM, 32/64 GB eMMC, WIFI, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0, plus onboard Arduino processor!W. H. Though the feature is quite cost affordable. But it seems that the official team didn't support Linux yet. Their product is just pre-installed the Windows 10.fruitoftheloom wrote:LattePanda is featured with quad-core 1.8Ghz, 2/4G RAM, 32/64 GB eMMC, WIFI, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0, plus onboard Arduino processor!W. Okay...so there is the speed part. While that doesn't say...it pretty much has to be x86.fruitoftheloom wrote:LattePanda is featured with quad-core 1.8Ghz, 2/4G RAM, 32/64 GB eMMC, WIFI, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0, plus onboard Arduino processor!W. "Atom processor Quad Core 1.8GHz CPU"
on one of the diagrams.
and
"Intel Cherry Trail Quad Core 1.8GHz".
I note that they claim they have HDMI and "Display Connector" video out, but say the Pi only has HDMI.
Oh, also that they run "Full Edition of Windows 10" while Pi runs "Linux/Android"???
[edit]
Also, the Pi2 only has 17 GPIOs (compared to the LP's 22) and both devices support Wake on LAN. Hmm...
Interesting... so it's a 64 bit device and the 1.8GHz is a "burst mode", not a default speed. Still, the same applies to the Pi's 900MHz.fruitoftheloom wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_I ... 2814_nm.29rpdom wrote: "Intel Cherry Trail Quad Core 1.8GHz".
AFAIAA only Intel Tablets are eligible for ZERO Cost OEM Pricingdrgeoff wrote:If it is coming with a legal version of "full Win10", MS must be letting them have it for nothing or next to nothing.
Ummm...from the linked page (my bold):fruitoftheloom wrote: Strange the other KickStarter Intel x86 SBC did not mention W10

Oh...In the latest FAQs, the official guy mentioned that it's completely pre activated... How it could be with this price..fruitoftheloom wrote:It does not state Windows 10 Licensed is included in priceW. H. I agree, this seems a bit risky to me.......caveat emptor!!IMO this is classic VapourWare, I'll be surprised if this ever solidifies.
