Connecting IR Infrared Board Plate to PSU not working

Sun Nov 01, 2015 5:35 pm

Hi, I am trying to connect this with this 12V 2A stabilized dc power supply.

For some reason the IR plate doesn't draw any current and I suspect it is broken. Even with the light sensor completely covered non of the IR leds light up.

This is the board which looks fine IMO

Any ideas why it doesn't draw any current?

On the PCB next to the power connector it says +12v and this is next to the BLACK wire on the power connector by the look of it. Have you got your power supply connected the right way. Won't the red wire be +12v?

Ah, that was it! That was really simple, sorry for wasting your time. The color codes on the wire was reversed...
