I would like someone to write the programming for the PI to preform the following functions:

Enroll Fingerprints
Identify Fingerprints and if accepted open a relay
Allow database to be extracted and added

Hi guys!

Now you can use this python driver for Sparkfun GT511C3 fingerprint connected to GPIO in raspberry pi

Are there any updates with the github link for the python version? I had to do some modifications to fix the logic of LegacyEnrol and it still behaves differently. All the function except the verify, identify, and LegacyEnrol work well for me.

Can you share, what changes you've made, to make it work.

Could someone please lay out all physical parts needed to be able to connect this to the actual Raspberry PI? I have the latest RPi model, but I don't know what else I need. Is a breakout board needed and/or USB to TTL board and proper wiring to be able to connect it?

The Sparkfun GT511C3 seems to be a 3v3 compatible serial device. I'd say, to connect it, you'd need 4 wires (PWR, GND, RX, TX).
I'd recommend purchasing the JST-SH pigtail as mentioned in the product description.

Hi, I'm using this fingerprint gt511C3 for a project working with
raspberry pi3 and python v2. I made the code to work to do the
enrollment successfully. but, when I ckeck to see if that id is
enrolled the results is false, and the number of enrolled ids is zero.
I appreciate it if you can help me.

Hi, everyone.

During my last project with fingerprint technology, I ended up with quite a few of these exact (GT-511C1R) sensors. They are all new, unused, in mint condition. Since my current project aren't within the fingerprint field, I'm willing to sell them to anyone who'd be interested in using them.

Shoot me a private message/email if you're interested.

I have created some java library for minimal communicate with GT-511C3 Fingerprint sensor. please get it from below GitHub URL. I think this will be useful for you while connecting GT-511C3 over USB To TTL Module in Raspberry PI Modal's.

Does anyone have Python3 code for this sparkfun fingerprint scanner. I am trying to get it to store all the fingerprint data on an sql database so anyone can sign in to the python app with their fingerprint regardless of which scanner they use (the scanners will be the same model). How would I do this?? :?:
