Tomorrow (Friday 29th) and Saturday 30th April in Nevers, Nièvre in the very heart of France, will take place an event entitled "1ères Rencontres Nationales Raspberry Pi" (The 1st National Raspberry Pi Encounters). It's an initiative of the local Town Council ("Agglomeration") of Nevers in partnership with the County ("Département"/"Conseil Général") of Nièvre (58) as part of their "Year of Digital" ("Année du Numérique"). They had none other than RMS (Richard Stallman) speaking last Monday evening.

There'll be various stands, demonstrations, presentations and speakers. I'm privileged and excited to have been asked to do talks on 2 topics myself over the two days : one about the origins, story, values and vision of the Raspberry Pi and the Foundation; the second about the further development of the Raspberry Pi community and ecosystem in France. My friend François "Framboise 314" Mocq, blogger and author - le "Mr Raspberry Pi" in France - will also be participating in several ways on Saturday and talking about the PiZero and the Pi3 (technical specifications, possibilities and use in France).
Anyone who can join us, even at this late time, we'd be really pleased to make your acquaintance and have a chat about all things Pi.
