Go and ask on the Kali forum.
Kali isn't supported on here.

Speaking for everyone else again?

I have no experience of kali Linux, but taking a minute to look at their built script it seems to be debian based with a kernel built from the pi git sources.

If it was me I would switch to the standard debian armhf kernel (bootable on the pi) or just install the raspbian deb kernel packages if you want a downstream kernel. Both have header packages.

Hope this helps!

Please keep the conversations civil, and yes, we do support other linux distro's here, besides Raspbian, as long as they run on the raspberry PI, even kali linux, as there are legal uses for it.

Thank you mahjongg.

On https://www.offensive-security.com/kali ... rm-images/ it says:
These images are built using the “kali-rolling” repositories, and contain their respective kernel sources in case you need to compile extra drivers, or other kernel dependent code.
There are also arm kernel packages listed here http://http.kali.org/kali/pool/main/l/linux/

That said, the Pi engineers use Raspbian exclusively, so that is where all their experience resides. So any "Other OS" information will not be 'from the horses mouth', which it would be if you went to the Kali forums.

So, you might get an answers for Other OS questions from third parties, but there are likely to be better places to ask.

But we won't stop you asking here if that is what you want to do.
