BerryBoot and CPU temperature control?

Sat Jun 02, 2018 6:28 pm

Hi, I'm using BerryBoot with the Rpi3B. I'm wondering whether the BerryBoot OS will throttle the CPU speed if the temperature exceeds 85C, or whether that only happens in a full Raspbian distribution, or whether it's a "built-in" feature of the hardware regardless of which Linux distro is being used.

Thanks in advance for any answers or help.

cheers,
Alistair

It's a hardware/firmware feature - nothing to do with the OS that's booted.
