Is there a way to emulate an Internet service in the x86 QEMU VM?

Wed May 23, 2018 10:39 pm

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a
way to make a virtual OS able
to connect to the internet if the
host OS has an internet connection. :?

If anyone can tell me how to do it, that would
be great! :D

Thanks,

QEMU has three different types of networking. The simplest is called "user" and contains an virtual NAT router. You must use port forwarding in that scenario.

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
