x86 Install How to get Pixel Back?

Fri Sep 15, 2017 11:38 am

I have just managed to install Raspian x86 on an older PC. It was a difficult install as it kept crashing but eventually I got it working by purging and reinstalling Openbox. It is now working fine except it is using standard LXDE instead of Pixel. I don't want to re-install as it will probably crash again or corrupt in some other way. Is there a way to get Pixel back using the terminal or downloading a package?

The June release ditched Pixel Desktop, it is now "Raspberry Pi Desktop", therefore are you using the older December 2016 BETA release ??

FYI: It is not Raspbian, has never been Raspbian and will never be Raspbian

Regards the modified LXDE the package is: raspberrypi-ui-mods
