OpenELEC Start X.

Sun Sep 23, 2012 12:18 am

Hi pi forum!

I've recently setup OpenELEC with Transmission and I'm using it as a seedbox/Media Centre combo.
However: I'm a little bit stuck, I'd like to not have X and the UI start at boot, just the transmission service/webUI. How can I stop OpenELEC from Starting X/XBMC when I turn it on? I'd like to manually switch states if possible.

I've managed to login with WinSCP and Putty already, So I'd love to take this to the next step.
Thanks for any help.

there is no X in OpenELEC, just xbmc.

Code: Select all

grep -R xbmc /etc/init.d
might tell you where the start hook is.
