Kali Linux issue: Trying to follow instructions getting stuc

Hi. I'm newish to the raspberry pi and new to linux.
I'm trying to follow this set of instructions to play around with some networking stuff: http://lifehacker.com/how-to-build-a-po ... 1739297918
These instructions use Kali linux.
When I get to step 6, ./install.sh , I get this error "package architecture (armhf) does not match system (armel) ". From a little googling, it looks like this is a difference between Kali and Raspbian binaries and how they're built (but that's as far as I get in my understanding).
Other than *not* using Kali, and using Raspbian, what should I try? If I can use a pre-built image and just download the programs Kali uses... I will ... although there's not a list published anywhere... and it'll take awhile to install all 600 (that they claim to have).
So, any ideas?
Thanks.
