OpenElec for Pi2 question

I'm pretty new at this, but I bought a 16GB sd card for my Pi2. I downloaded the disk image for OpenElec for the pi2 and wrote the image with Win32 disk imager. When I view the card in My Computer, it now shows it with a total size of 255MB with 152MB free. I plan to install Kodi and use this Pi2 for my HPTC, but where did all my 16GB go, did I do something wrong?

No. You probably didn't do anything wrong.

Your Windows PC simply isn't capable of reading the other partitions due to the type of file systems being used on those partitions. It's only seeing one partition. The rest of the partitions and files should be there, you just will not be able to see/access them normally from your Windows computer.

great... so I guess I didn't need to do this:
http://www.htpcbeginner.com/install-ope ... pberry-pi/
and now I can't see any partitions in Windows, which means I can't use the disk imager software.

So if I go back and do it again the first way, does it create two partitions that are seen in openelec?

I don't know whether or not you needed to do "this," whatever "this" may entail. I'm not going to read through that.

I'm not sure I understand what your problem is now ("and now I can't see any partitions in Windows, which means I can't use the disk imager software"). If you need to reformat your card/drive, try SD Formatter.

"So always use the SD-Formatter using the settings that do the most complete format!"

I don't know what the "first way" you tried might be. I don't use OpenElec. I don't know how many partitions it normally has. Just remember that whatever your Windows computer is showing on the card/drive may not be the full picture. Windows will only show you what is on the FAT partition.
