Changing to RISCOS

Tue Aug 13, 2013 10:23 am

Hi, I am changing from Raspbian to RISCOS so can you still access things like the LX Terminal so I can install things or is it a completely different way of life?

If there isn't an LX Terminal, is there any command line software in the operating system? If so, does it use Bash?

I know, I'm asking a ton of questions here but what type of BASIC do you use in it?

Thanks, I just looked up the type of command line so I won't bother with it

Burngate's excellent RISC OS document, "A Stroll Around RISC OS", which can be found here, is well worth a read, if you are still even remotely interested. It gives a good run-down on the (often vast) differences between it and other OSes.
Classic - Raspberry Pi Model B (512MB) with Motorola Atrix Lapdock
Lemcon-One - Raspberry Pi Model B (256MB) PiMAME TV-Box

Return to “RISCOS”
