64 Bit Gentoo Raspberry Pi 3 Benchmarks

Yesterday I received an E-mail from sakaki, who has released Bootable 64-bit Gentoo image for the Raspberry Pi 3, with Linux 4.10.0, and has compiled and run some of my RPi benchmarks, suggesting co-operation in publishing results (glad to do it). I produced a bootable SD card and ran my first benchmarks successfully, that were compiled with gcc-6, via OpenSuse.

Gentoo was running using “on demand” frequency control between 600 MHz idle and consistent 1200 MHz when running CPU benchmarks (unlike OpenSuse). Reference to both will be in:

The initial 32 bit benchmarks have been compiled to run at 64 bits and results are reported in my Raspberry Pi Benchmarks thread:

viewtopic.php?p=1110102#p1110102

The initial benchmarks were Whetstone, Dhrystone, Linpack and Livermore Loops, with performance gains of up to 40%.

A comment I made about Firefox working in Gentoo64, got someone asking about WebGL.
Yes it does work, not fast and some examples crash it.

So it is a benchmark of Gentoo64 or Firefox.
Celeron Core Duo Mint PC Firefox 64.0 19fps for http://webglsamples.org/blob/blob.html
Gentoo64 - 5fps
ZTE Blade A475- 4 core 1GHZ A52 , Mali T720 MP1 -Android 5.1 29fps

So my $129 (on special $79) phone has the fastest WebGL browser.

How can Gentoo64/Firefox be made faster?
Linpack etc benchmarks are ok but the real world of users surfs the Web.
WebGL and GLTF are the pushing technologies these days.

As I understand Firefox is using the Servo Engine which is designed to use Multicore CPU's.
Is the speed issue in the Mesa 3D driver or the Servo Engine or else where?

Firefox is broken on Debian ARM64 at the moment, and simply displays a message upon startup stating that the browser has crashed. So I can't test the speed of Firefox on Debian on the Pi at the moment.
