eGalax Touchscreen Drivers

Sat Apr 04, 2015 1:32 pm

Hi,

I've just received eGalax RS232(really old) touchscreen. For my Gentoo PC, I've downloaded this drivers(64bit ones): http://www.eeti.com.tw/LinuxDriverDownload.html and They're working on PC. But what driver I should download for my Pi B+ :? ? From the same site I've downloaded drivers for ARM / MIPS, but when I start ARMhf version, It crashes with segfault :x . Is there any chances for this screen on Pi?

I am also having issues with my touchscreen drivers. The Pi boots, and allows me to login, but the login info is either incorrect, or I am having unusual boot issues. I have tried (too) many times to login, and start up to install the drivers completely, but have had no luck.

Please notice this topic is about a very specific case and I doubt you need the same drivers.
Please start a new topic and don't forget to give more details (model Pi, OS + version, type of touch panel, how connected to Pi and if it's USB also the output of 'lsusb', etc etc)

By RS232>USB converter. It's detected as ttyUSB0. Why I'm getting segfault? BTW I'm using Gentoo.

Probably you're using drivers that are not compatible with the Pi.
What model Pi do you have? And exactly which driver for ARM did you download from the page you linked to?

I have B+ (1). So it's ARMv6hf. When I install ARMhf version and run "eGTouchD", it crashes with "Segmentation fault". When I install ARM version, I've got "/usr/bin/eGTouch: No such file or directory".

Though it states ARMHF it is more than likely ARMv7 it is refering to, you need to build from source code :)

From the beginning I wanted to build from sources, but I couldn't find the sources! If you find sources, I'll be very happy ;)

I was trying to find them using the link in the top post, but that link doesn't seem to work anymore...
