[Petition]Change/Remove /boot/config.txt

I'm starting a "petition" on Arch's /boot/config.txt file.

I think it should be cleared, or removed, since it seems like there are only personalized settings. Also with the threads I've read it seems like the hdmi mode is doing more harm than good.

A.g. Does the overscan need to be -1 OOB?

There should certainly be no hdmi_group/hdmi_mode type settings.
These are all display specific and not transferable.

Ok, I thought I was doing good putting it in. Learned my lesson.
Will just put in all commented out things next rootfs.

Now don't get me wrong. I greatly appreciate not having to rebuild my stuff from scratch (*COUGH* BeagleBoard *COUGH*), but I just saw some of the comments.

If we stick to the KISS method and working OOB. RasPi will crush all. Ha!

GitHub down? Will try later, sounds like I will use. I just wish there was one channel where decisions for all distros can be discussed, along the lines of this. This is not the only time a pitfall like this has happened.
At the moment I can only visit this part of the forum, a lapse of 2 hours and there's 5 pages of unread messages, overnight there could be 18. If there is a specific area where this is already, let me know.
Maybe someone else wants to take the baton. I got 8 arm devices of 5 different types here and might be spreading myself too thin.
