Raspberry Pi Forums

I am looking at getting a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) for my Pi running Arch, and do not see a driver listed in the modules alias file. Those have to be built into the kernel when it is compiled and not downloaded later, don't they? Or can I compile one of the drivers (such as usbhid-nut) and then install the binary and edit the aliases file and it will then work, as if it was compiled into the kernel?
