New archlinuxarm image

Sun Feb 10, 2013 6:46 pm

Tomorrow I have to make a new one. There is a good reason for this, unavoidable but it's future hardware related.
For the same reason raspbian have new rootfs ready.
Get suggestions in quick

add PPS support w/o debug to kernel:
Device Drivers → PPS Support
<M> PPS Support
< > PPS Debug
<M> lPPS line discipline
<M> PPS client using GPIO

add PPS GPIO to bcm2708.c:
There are a couple of patch files around one is:
https://raw.github.com/lampeh/rpi-misc/ ... m2708.diff

Thanks for asking.

cjan - pacman -Syu will make you always good. The reason for new rootfs is they are shipping now with a different ram, if you got one the old image wouldn't boot. I'm sure there will be an announcment.

dk23 - will try to add next kernel update

cloudcentric - thanks

Only 2 things new in this rootfs

The hardware random generator is all set up

Changed netcfg way slightly
To make eth0 static edit /etc/network.d/ethernet-eth0 (this is unchanged)
systemctl enable netcfg is NOT how it was enabled, I used this instead (makes sense when I tell you how to get wireless going, editing of /etc/conf.d/netcfg no longer required)

Code: Select all

systemctl enable [email protected]
To get wireless going edit /etc/network.d/wireless-wpa and edit just ESSID and KEY
Test with

Code: Select all

systemctl start [email protected]
ifconfig
If that is ok, enable with

Code: Select all

systemctl enable [email protected]
Possibly disable wired

Code: Select all

systemctl disable [email protected]
I tested this with a nano 8192 dongle and time does get set

The newest torrent on the downloads page does not seem to be working. I am getting the following error.

Failure: Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker.

The 2013-01-22 torrent is still working fine. I am using uTorrent on a Window 7 machine. Any ideas?
