Arch on Pi 3

Fri Apr 01, 2016 6:17 pm

I have successfully installed Rasbian via NOOBS and everything works. Today I decided to try out Arch Linux ARM. I followed the directions correctly and after a few tries I was able to complete the installation process. When I connect power to the Pi 3 it doesn't do anything. I know from my experience with Rasbian that the red light on the Pi 3 board lights up but also the green light flickers. With this new Arch system installed the green light doesn't do anything. I checked through my router to see if the Pi 3 was connected at all and it was not. Can any help me here?

I already tried modifying the config.txt to amplify the HDMI signal but that didn't do anything. After realizing that the green light was not on, I figured that wasn't the issue anyway.

EDIT: the reason I mentioned the HDMI signal is because at first I thought there was a display problem.

First, let's make sure the instructions you followed were the right ones. Did you follow the instructions on the following page?

Alternatively, I have just released my fork of NOOBS called PINN.
This will allow you to install the latest version of Arch direct from their website, and I think I've ironed out all of the wrinkles now.
