eliminate login prompt/autologon for pidora?

Thu Feb 05, 2015 7:44 pm

Hi, I'm attempting to use pidora to build a kiosk application.
KIOSK will have no keyboard so no way to enter login info. Thus security is not needed.
need to have no interaction from power on to executing firefox with default home page.
I have the default user 'pi' set with no password
Currently every thing works but, on the login sceen needs return to start the auto execution of firefox with a default home page
which runs the kiosk.

thanks for help in advance.

I can't remember if this is all I did, but in Xfce usually you edit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf, in [SeatDefaults] section, set/uncomment

Code: Select all

autologin-user=pi
autologin-user-timeout=0

Return to “Pidora / Fedora”
