How to get an application to start on boot in Pidora?

How would you go about setting up an application like Syncthing to start on boot in Pidora.

Everything you need to know about systemd is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Systemd

If the application has its own systemd/sysv startup file, it's easy. Otherwise, you might need to create one.

You could use cron that calls a very simple script that just sleeps for say 20 seconds then launches the app...

crontab -e

@reboot /home/linuxpiuser/start_app.sh

start_app.sh

#!/bin/bash

sleep 20
/usr/sbin/app
exit 0

I'm not 100% about this but it should work....
