First problems with F17

Sat Dec 01, 2012 4:33 pm

Just installed, updated through yum...(latest image of F-17)

I cannot shut-down or restart the machine from menu (Restart and shud-down buttons are greyed) and when I start yumex as a normal user, it shuts down with some exit code after issuing the root password.

Starting yumesx in a terminal as root makes it work fine.

Alredy reported??

Which "F17" is that? curious minds want to know!

is it:
* ECAN F17, a French wire-guided torpedo
* JF-17 Thunder, a fighter aircraft built by China and Pakistan
or
* Northrop YF-17. an American prototype fighter aircraft of the 1970s

Would be cool if you wanted to interface any of these to your PI.

or does your F17 wear a hat?

And I was just kidding!

It seems to indeed wear a hat, a fedora to be exact.
Anyway, a user that reads the post through the "new posts" may indeed get a bit confused, not realising its a post in the fedora section.

Could anyone with any issue or suggestions for this release file a bug report on the Fedora Hosted ARM Trac system at:<https://fedorahosted.org/arm/> so the issue can be properly tracked and assigned to a developer for attention and not lost among the noise of the forum.

Please don’t assume that everyone else is also seeing the same problem you are; many bugs are specific to a particular hardware, configuration, or habits of use..

Please try to stick to clearly explaining the bug and all necessary information to reproduce any issue. Adding comments such as "this needs to be fixed immediately!" or "this is unacceptable!" is not a good idea: it is only likely to make the maintainers feel as if you are attacking them, and this does not help them to resolve the bugs faster
To a person with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
