(CentOS) Kernel compilation on Raspberry issue

Wed Mar 16, 2016 8:00 pm

Sorry, I don't know where to post about centos.

I'm trying to compile the CentOS kernel for raspberry 2 and I getting the following error:

[[email protected] 4.1.11-v7+.1.20151021git4047fe2.el7]# make
CHK include/config/kernel.release
CHK include/generated/uapi/linux/version.h
CHK include/generated/utsrelease.h
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `arch/arm/tools/gen-mach-types', needed by `include/generated/mach-types.h'. Stop.
make: *** [archprepare] Error 2

I just did the following steps:

1. Downloaded the rpi2 image from https://wiki.centos.org/Download
2. Installed the rp2 kernel devel from http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7/kern ... /Packages/
3. Installed the dev tools (yum groupinstall "Development Tools")
4. Try to compile: cd /usr/src/kernels/4.1.11-v7+.1.20151021git4047fe2.el7 && make

I need to compile the kernel to install a new module (or driver).

Thanks in advance
