I need help !

Sat Aug 04, 2012 5:05 pm

Hi all,
I need help !
After using Raspbian I'd like to use QtonPi/Fedora.

I have some questions:
1) Is there a graphic shell (I mean gnome) ?

- If yes, how can I start it ??

- If no, how can I install it ??
Is there a "step by step" user guide ?

3) I used QT for windows with QTCreator to develop win-form app...
the SDK provided in the ZIP (see download page) contain QT SDK... is it needed a graphic environment to use QT SDK?
I can write just "console application" without a graphics shell :(

Thanks in advance for your reply

1) I don't know.
2) sudo apt-get install gnome
3) I don't know.

Even if gnome runs on the Raspberry Pi it will be very slow.

Image Wheezy

Start RPi

complete raspi-config setup (starts automatically)

login pi
password = raspberry

enter command "startx"

note you don't need the speechmarks ;)

startx is the graphic environment

If stuck look for noob stuff on the wiki 8-)
Noob is not derogatory the noob is just the lower end of the noob--geek spectrum being a noob is just your first step towards being an uber-geek ;)

If you find a solution please post it in the wiki the forum dies too quick
