Keyboard and mouse not working on Fedora 22 for RPi2B

Sun Nov 01, 2015 7:31 pm

Hi all,

I followed instructions to from Jon Archer (http://jonarcher.info/2015/02/getting-f ... erry-pi-2/)

I anyway downloaded Fedora 22 with XFCE (http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/ ... sda.raw.xz)

The boot seems to be working along with the keyboard but once the GUI appears, keyboard and mouse become unresponsive.

I tried to updata /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Code: Select all

#Section "InputClass"
#Identifier "evdev keyboard catchall"
#MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
#Driver "evdev"
#Option "XkbLayout" "gb"
#EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Keyboard1"
    Driver "kbd"
    #Driver "evdev"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Mouse1"
    Driver "mouse"
    Option "Protocol" "Auto"
    Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
EndSection
I also copied this file to /root/xorg.conf but nothing changed.

Do you have any idea?

I had the same symptom with the workstation image, but not with XFCE, which worked fine. If you just want an image, user vaughn created one using the proper respin tools, see viewtopic.php?f=51&t=122403. If you are more interested in doing it yourself, I can cross check that I can still build an image, and then post the script I used.

I couldn't get this method to work with F23 alpha builds at all, so have switched to using appliance-creator. I currently have an F23 LXDE image built using appliance-creator running on my F22 image. This is using vaughn's F23 raspberry pi rpms (firmware, kernel etc) which in turn were based on the pidora spec files (I believe).

Thanks guys, it's working perfectly!
Btw... this way was much easier :D
