Try
sudo apt-get install gcc-avr

Or if that package is installed then check your $PATH variable.

Perhaps yum rather than apt-get on Pidora.

On an Intel platform (fully updated 64bit Fedora on my laptop)

$ echo $PATH
/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/home/antonio/.local/bin:/home/antonio/bin

on my Raspberry
$ echo $PATH
/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/home/antonio/.local/bin:/home/antonio/bin

I do not see any difference: and I have avr-binutils, avr-gcc, avr-gcc-c++, avr-libc. avrdude installed

filed a bug in bugzilla, no compiler works even with the usual Hello-world file :-( so it was given to avr-gcc component..

see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1224726

Return to “Pidora / Fedora”
