pidora-2014-R3: blank Touchscreen 7"

Firstly: with the newest Raspian download I have no issue with the Touchscreen - all works fine!

Now I downloaded Pidora-2014-R3. Created the SD Card with 'Etcher'. No error msg.
When connecting power (with PI3 included adapter - 2.5A) the screen stays blank.
All I see is the red light (the green is NOT blinking as it does when using the Raspian SD Card!).

I do not have any other equipment connected.

What am I missing here?

The distribution is older than the screen, so it won't have drivers.

Also that Pidora is older than an RPi3. It won't boot even to a HDMI or composite screen.

You need Fedora and not Pidora (Pidora was never updated for the RPi 2 & 3):
