pidora-2014-R3: blank Touchscreen 7"

Mon May 22, 2017 3:14 pm

Firstly: with the newest Raspian download I have no issue with the Touchscreen - all works fine!

Now I downloaded Pidora-2014-R3. Created the SD Card with 'Etcher'. No error msg.
When connecting power (with PI3 included adapter - 2.5A) the screen stays blank.
All I see is the red light (the green is NOT blinking as it does when using the Raspian SD Card!).

I do not have any other equipment connected.

What am I missing here?
Thanks for your time and hints, ed

The distribution is older than the screen, so it won't have drivers.

Also that Pidora is older than an RPi3. It won't boot even to a HDMI or composite screen.

You need Fedora and not Pidora (Pidora was never updated for the RPi 2 & 3):

My only "PC" is an Asus ChromeBit running ChromeOS, cloudcentric at its best !
Rockchip Quad-Core RK3288C SoC as used in ASUS Chromebook C201 & Chromebook Flip C100PA as well as the Tinker SBC.
3 Mobile Huawei E5330 Mobile Mi-Fi

Return to “Pidora / Fedora”
