Root password?

Thu May 31, 2012 8:32 pm

What is the root password for the Debian image?

If I run "Root Terminal" under "Accessories" it prompts me for the password but "raspberry" doesn't work.

Thanks

Matt

There is no root password set by default - as in Ubuntu, you are expected to do everything through sudo. You can set one with "sudo passwd root" - just make sure you know what you are doing with a root account.
Then again - if you blow away the sd card with rm -rf /, it really doesn't matter that much on a pi.
