I now understand the difficulty you've experienced doronfynn. The password entry is invisible because it's a security feature. It's similar to how password entries are often marked ******* on websites or most programs.

Debian February 17th has username/password pi/suse.milopware wrote:I am having the same problem, i have debian6-17-02-2012 which seems to boot fine from the memory card but i try logging in with username pi password raspberry but just get incorrect username or password. is there a different username / password for this version? i cant find it anywhere if there is. i know there is a newer version but it doesnt even boot when i use that image (debian6-19-04-2012), i get lots of errors then it says spawning too fast waiting for 5 minutes and thats about it.
