Re: Auto-connect to wireless nets?

I realised, after looking at etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf, that whenever I manually connect to a new wifi network using the wpa_gui, it was marking the previous network as disabled=1 in the in the wpa_supplicant.conf. Getting rid of the disabled=1 lines left me with a conf file looking just like r1cth3rs.

You mention after wifi is established, you would then say to the pi.

Why not simply set the pi as an access point and then you connect to it rather than hoping you have an ap that is open?

I tried several scrips above, they detect wifi disconnect just fine, my problem is that I cannot restart wifi interface. All ends up with RTNETLINK answers: No such process after I powercycle my AP

My log I generated is below:

Code: Select all

cat wifi.log
RTNETLINK answers: No such process
RTNETLINK answers: No such process
RTNETLINK answers: No such process
Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not re-enable some interfaces ... (warning).

only what works is to add reboot to script.

any ideas?

Hi,

I created a script in python wo reconnect automatically to your Wifi if it shut down...

I assume you set your Wifi informations before ( /etc/network/interfaces ). If not, I encourage you to read this : http://weworkweplay.com/play/automatica ... i-network/

My script  https://github.com/matthieuvisian/WifiLoop
