Re: MX-Fluxbox RPi respin 21.02.20 is out

I'm hoping someone here can tell me if MX-Linux for the Raspberry Pi uses the SysVinit. I'm asking because I'm helping to port software to devuan and I need to have SysVinit to test the init scripts.

Thank you

Before someone asks I don't have a system that can build me a devuan image for the raspberry pi.

Nope. The MX-Fluxbox WM is designed as an "overlay," whether on Debian with Xfce (as on MX Linux) or Raspberry Pi OS.

All MX release variants, including a whole bunch of user respins (> Forum), do use SysVinit by default--but have systemd as an alternative that can be selected at boot. One of them might suit your purposes since MX has an extremely powerful Live capability that many of us use all the time for development.

Use Menu > Appearance > Docks > Dockmaker. Demo/details in many of my videos starting with "Power tools", and in the documentation (Bookshelf).

Nobody cares except me, but we just passed 2,000 downloads (=full + patch) so it seems like there's some interest out there--which makes it worth the effort!

Link in Community_Respins/Raspberry%20Pi/ is wrong

Good evening,
the link
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mx-lin ... erry%20Pi/

leads to the NORMAL x64_MX, NOT to the raspberry-MX.

Where can I get the raspberry_MX?

Regards
Karl

I already answered the question earlier in the thread, and on the MX Forum where you also posted it. The link opens the folder with all the relevant files, starting with the patch for users starting with the Beta.

SourceForge in its infinite wisdom adds above the folder contents a link to the latest XFCE x64 version.
