Microsoft Visio Raspberry Pi Shapes

Tue Oct 29, 2019 10:07 am

Hi,

I'm teaching my students some networking and we are drawing it up on Microsoft Visio. Part of our network consists of Raspberry Pi computers.

Unfortunately Visio does not include a pre-designed shape for the Raspberry Pi. Does anyone else who uses Visio have any there could share. I'm looking to match the style of the existing networking shapes included in Viso. I am aware of some shapes on Github, but they don't match the Visio style, and are a little out of date.

I did reach out to the education team via email but they said they were unwilling to help. I guess they are busy.

Many thanks

Peter

Do you really need one?

You don't see in visio a different symbol for each different type of printer available out there. They are symbolic representation of generic devices rather than exact replicas of anything. Just use the PC symbol and give it a caption "Raspberry Pi"

Or draw one yourself.

I don't have any drawing skills sadly!

I could use a generic symbol, but it would just look much nicer and push the Raspberry Pi to the students more and show how well it can integrate with other kit.
