Non-internet-connected wireless server...?

Sat Mar 03, 2018 12:56 pm

Hi,

I'm a language teacher, and I've been thinking about something that would be pretty handy in a classroom: I want to let my students use their phones to carry out tasks by connecting wirelessly to a raspberry pi acting as a simple access point and webserver (perhaps even running a Moodle instance). By doing this, I would get the students disconnected from the internet and only viewing the actual lesson resources.

I could do this from the ground up, but I wonder if anyone has done anything similar.

Cheers,
Niall.

Me too. Make sure to disable power saving on the Pi WiFi or your access point might disappear.
